Ketamine Therapy: A Path to Mental and Emotional Freedom

Are you feeling emotionally stuck or like you’re in a loop you can’t break free from? Perhaps you’ve tried traditional medications or therapies, but they haven’t fully addressed your anxiety, depression, or trauma. Ketamine therapy might be the transformative approach you’ve been looking for. As both a psychedelic and a dissociative, ketamine offers unique benefits, not only freeing the mind from entrenched patterns but also helping the body release deep-seated anxiety. Here’s a look at what ketamine therapy can offer, why it’s different, and how I guide clients through the process.

How Ketamine Therapy Can Help

Ketamine works by stimulating the production of chemicals in the brain that strengthen neural connections, breaking through negative thought loops and mental patterns that may feel impossible to shift on your own. Because ketamine is a dissociative, it also enables the body to release anxiety physically held over time, letting you feel more connected, light, and open to change.

Ketamine is the only psychedelic with dissociative properties, which adds a dimension to its therapeutic potential. This dissociation provides a full-body release while your mind gains freedom from limiting patterns, letting you explore new, healthier perspectives.

How the Process Works

Working with a prescribing physician partner (I partner with Journey Clinical), I offer ketamine in one of the gentlest forms available: sublingual tablets. This delivery method allows the effects to take hold within about 10 to 15 minutes, with a smooth onset and decline. Ketamine therapy can be an excellent option if you’re feeling stuck in repeated relapses, experiencing ineffective medications, or facing a growth plateau in your mental health journey.

Your Journey Begins with Me

Here’s how the process unfolds:

Step 1: Initial Intake

First, we’ll set up an intake session. During this initial appointment, you’ll have the chance to discuss your mental health history, goals, and current struggles. This is your opportunity to determine whether ketamine therapy is right for you and to establish a trusting, open relationship with me. My goal in this session is to ensure that you feel supported and confident as we begin this work together.

Step 2: Prescription and Dosing

Following the intake, I’ll help you connect with Journey Clinical’s prescribing team. They will ask you questions to ensure that you receive an appropriate dosage based on your needs and goals. Sublingual tablets are generally chosen for their gentle onset and ease of use.

Step 3: The Three-Part Journey Cycle

Once your prescription is in place, we’ll move forward with a three-part cycle designed to help you get the most out of your ketamine experiences. Each phase of the cycle builds on the previous one and provides structured support, so you can feel safe and grounded throughout.

  • Preparation Session: In this one-hour session, I’ll cover everything you need to know about your upcoming journey. We’ll go over the logistics, discuss your dosage, and set intentions for the experience. I’ll also provide you with guidance on creating a playlist, practicing relaxation exercises, and setting up your physical space.

  • Journey Session: This session lasts about two hours and forty-five minutes, allowing time for a full journey with check-ins and support throughout. We’ll start by reviewing your intentions and instructions, followed by somatic-based exercises to help you relax. You’ll listen to a curated playlist designed to enhance your experience, and a chaperone will time your medication for the internal journey, which generally lasts about an hour. I’ll be present to offer grounding and support as you process emotions and insights.

  • Integration Session: The final part of the cycle is a one-hour integration session. Here, we’ll work together to make sense of your journey, helping you implement the insights and wisdom you gained. This phase also encourages you to engage in activities that deepen your self-connection, like journaling, creative expression, or meditation. With increased neuroplasticity, this is an ideal time to explore new or old interests that resonate with your subconscious healing process.

Lasting Transformation with Ketamine Therapy

The effects of ketamine therapy can last for months and even foster lasting shifts, particularly when supported by multiple sessions and ongoing integration practices. Through my guidance, you’ll have the tools and resources to maintain these changes, helping you cultivate healthier mental habits and new ways of thinking.

If you’re ready to experience life with greater clarity, creativity, and freedom, ketamine therapy could be your next step. I’m here to guide you through each phase, offering the support you need to make meaningful changes and embrace a more open, fulfilled version of yourself.
